G-Alarm

G-Alarm Online Manual

Hidden options

My main goal is to keep G-Alarm as simple as possible. That means that some options, which aren't important for most of the users, aren't displayed in the program itself but can be changed by editing the registry in "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ageye\G-Alarm".
You can edit the registry with many tools - I recommend to use Dotfred's Task Manager because it's free.
Here is a list of all hidden options you can change in the latest version:

Emergency sound file

This file is being played if G-Alarm cannot find all files of the playlist you have defined! If you want to set a different sound file, change or add following registry value:

StandardSound: \Program Files\ageye\G-Alarm\galarm.wma

Change the id of the vibration module to use

G-Alarm can vibrate on the most devices. Some devices use a different hardware id for the vibration module (e.g. ASUS devices).
You can manually try to find out which one is the right on your device by changing following value (valid values are 0 to probably 10):

LedID: 0

Don't wakeup at midnight

Because of the Windows alarm bug, G-Alarm wakes the device at midnight so Windows Mobile can rebuild its notification queue. If you turn this off by changing or adding following registry value, it may happen that an alarm doesn't go off:

MidnightWakeUp: False

Show splash-screen

If you don't like the splash-screen, change or add following registry value:

SplashScreen: False

Change the name of the "dummy" alarm in Windows Mobile alarm settings

I chose the name "Don't touch me! I'm a dummy" because many users thought they could change the alarm time of a G-Alarm alarm in Windows Mobile clock & alarm settings:

DummyName: Don't touch me! I'm a dummy

Wakeup time before an alarm goes off

G-Alarm wakes your device up 15 seconds before an alarm goes off. You can change this time by adding following DWORD value to the registry:

WakeSeconds: 15
